The term "Dragon Boat Festival" first appeared in the "Records of the Wind and Earth" of the Western Jin Dynasty: "The midsummer Dragon Boat Festival is called the fifth day of May, and the custom attaches importance to this day, which is the same as the summer solstice." In ancient Chinese, the word "Duanwu" has the meaning of beginning and beginning, and is also called "Duanwu", which is also known as "the fifth day of the first day.". "Shuowen Jiezi": "Duan is the topic of the birth of things, which means that Duan is the beginning. Therefore, the fifth day of the fifth month of the fifth month is called the" Duan Wujie ". "Suishi Guangji" said, "The dust people in the capital city take the first day of May as the end one, and the second day of May as the end two. The number to five is called the end five." The ancients used to refer to the first few days of May as the end. Therefore, the first noon day of the fifth (noon) month is called the Dragon Boat Festival.
